Janitor Full time

FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITY

Pay Range: $16.50-$21.00 per hour, based on years of experience

Shift Available: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Schedule: 40 hours a week Monday - Friday

JOB SUMMARY:

Cleans floor coverings and assures trash is properly disposed. Ability to clean all areas of the physical plant. Perform event set-ups and moving of furniture. Must be flexible and able to communicate effectively with residents, employees, guests and vendors. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keeps hallways & stairways clean, finishing floor coverings as necessary.
• Empties trash containers and transport to compactor. Transport biohazard material.
• Transports soiled linen to bulk storage area.
• Keeps courtyards & porches (including furniture) clean and tidy.
• Sets up event space daily as required.
• Transports & empties newspaper re-cycling bins as required.
• Assists maintenance when required.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations and resident satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in janitorial duties in a professional setting.

Preferred

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• A current state of VA driving license.

• Experience in a Continuing Care and Retirement Community (CCRC) or Healthcare setting is highly desirable.
