Is Prelim free?

Yes. Prelim is free for job seekers. Companies that are hiring pay us, so you don't pay anything. You can build your whole resume with no account. To download it or save it, make a free account with Google or your email.

What happens to my info?

We use what you tell us to build your resume and find jobs that fit you. We don't sell it. If you upload a resume, we read it and then delete the file. You can delete everything from your account page with one tap. It's all gone within 30 days.

Do employers see my answers?

Not unless you apply. When you tap Apply with Prelim on a job, that one employer gets your resume and your interview answers. If you apply on a company's own site, they only get what you send them. What you want more or less of in a job stays private. We use it to rank jobs for you, and no employer sees it.

What kinds of jobs are on Prelim?

Hourly and entry-level jobs. Think caregivers and CNAs, warehouse, retail, restaurants, hotels, and call centers. Jobs come straight from companies' own job pages, and we check for new ones every few hours. You'll find jobs all over the US. Put in your ZIP code to see the ones near you.

How long does it take?

The resume part takes about 10 minutes. The job fit questions take about 5 more. Your answers save as you go, so you can stop and pick up later on the same phone.

Do I need a resume?

No. You can start with nothing. Just answer the questions and we write it for you. If you have one, upload it (PDF or Word) and we'll skip what's already there. New to work? School, volunteering, family care, and side jobs all count.

Can I use Prelim in Spanish?

Yes. Write to the chat in Spanish and it keeps going in Spanish. Your resume can be in Spanish too.

A company sent me a chat interview link. What is it?

That's the company's own screening. Just open the link and answer their questions. You don't need an account for it.
