Spring Oak Tri-Cities is seeking a dependable Cook to prepare delicious, nutritious meals for our assisted living and memory care residents. Guided by our motto, “Welcome to the Family,” we create a warm, supportive environment where residents and team members feel valued.

Responsibilities:

• • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and portion guidelines.
  • Follow residents’ dietary needs, special diets, and food texture requirements as directed.
  • Assist with menu planning and communicate necessary substitutions or adjustments to the supervisor.
  • Monitor food and supply levels, identify ordering needs, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Follow proper food handling, labeling, dating, and storage procedures.
  • Ensure meals are served at appropriate temperatures and presented attractively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Follow sanitation and food safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the dining and resident care teams to provide a positive dining experience.

Qualifications:

• • Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred, especially in senior living, healthcare, or food service.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures.
  • Ability to follow menus, recipes, and dietary instructions.
  • Strong organization, time management, and teamwork skills.
  • A dependable, respectful approach to working with residents and team members.
  • Availability to work either listed shift and every other weekend.
